Overview

Managed Instagram content strategy and account operations for 10+ local business accounts across restaurant, bakery, food, and leisure categories.

The work focused on helping small businesses build local visibility through consistent content planning, short-form video, caption writing, hashtag strategy, influencer collaboration, and organic audience growth.

I approached Instagram as a local discovery channel. The goal was not only to post content, but to help nearby audiences understand each business, engage with the account, and take action, such as following, saving, sharing, visiting, or trying a featured menu or service.


My Role

  • Managed Instagram operations for 10+ local business accounts, including content planning, publishing, caption writing, hashtag strategy, and account coordination

  • Planned and uploaded content on a 3x weekly schedule, balancing Reels, carousel posts, menu/service highlights, seasonal content, and informative posts

  • Developed localized content strategies based on neighbourhood, customer persona, food/service category, cultural relevance, and audience behaviour

  • Created and optimized short-form content using trending audio, quick visual hooks, meme-based ideas, concise video structures, and platform-native content formats

  • Supported organic growth through local audience targeting, community engagement, influencer collaboration, and location-based follow strategies
